Paris Day Two & Three

On Tuesday evening we went to Arc de Triomphe. We didn't have the chance to go up it during our trip in summer. The photo above shows exactly how my facial expression was after climbing the 284 steps to the top! It doesn't help that it is a spiral staircase and they scare me so I was going about the speed of a snail both up and down.

The views from the top were definitely worth the climb. It was nice to watch the hustle and bustle of Champs Elysees from above. There was also a great view of the Eiffel Tower, Sacre-Coeur and La Defense. My only complaint is that they still charge you 2 euros if you want to use the telescope even though you paid to get up there.

We then went for dinner at Le Petit Cenre du Monde which is a delicious Asian restaurant.

Wednesday evening we took a wander through the Christmas market at Champs Elysees. Look at these huge slabs of chocolate! They had coconut, almond, dark...everything and then it was melted over strawberries.

We went to Kokohana for dinner. It is right next to the restaurant that we ate at on Tuesday night. Kokohana is a Japanese restaurant and the chef cooks everything in front of you. It was great fun to watch and the food was amazing.

We didn't get to go inside Louvre in summer because the queues were crazy however on Wednesday evenings the museum is open until 10pm. There was no queues and it wasn't too busy. I even managed to get to the front of the Mona Lisa for a photo!

Tonight is our last night in Paris and I think we are going to the Latin Quarter for dinner and then back to Champs Elysees :)
