Tresemmé Beauty-full Volume Collection

Tresemmé sent me their new Beauty-full Volume Collection and I am really excited to talk about it.

Noted as being their "revolutionary hair-care system, the Beauty-full Volume Collection is a reverse washing set that is designed to really volumise the hair.

What is reverse washing?
I have been reverse hair washing since 2014 and wrote a post explaining what it is. First you wash your hair with the Beauty-full Volume pre-wash conditioner and then follow that with the Beauty-full Volume shampoo.

About the products
Step 1. Beauty-full Volume conditioner
Using the proprietary fiber polish actives, the conditioner binds to the hair cuticles which helps to protect and soften the hair, leaving it feeling smooth.

Step 2. Beauty-full Volume shampoo
This shampoo is designed to gently cleanse and remove excess weight from the hair, leaving it conditioned, shiny and bouncy.

Step 3. Beauty-full Volume Hair Maximiser
Use this product pre blow-dry to lock in softness and achieve volume. Contains Flemimax volumisers and polishers to provide bounce, smooth and frizz-free hair.

My thoughts
I was really excited about using these products as I have fine hair which can look a little lack-luster if it isn't volumised. I also struggle to find volumising products that don't weigh my hair down and make it look greasy so the claim that these products won't weigh down hair really enticed me.

I started off with massaging the conditioner into my hair from root to tip. I then brushed it through with a wide-tooth shower to get rid of any pre-exisiting tangles and then leave the conditioner on for a few minutes. I then followed up with with the volumising shampoo, I didn't rinse out the conditioner first, I just lathered the shampoo on top. I then rinsed out all of the product and used my wide-tooth comb again. I know some people's concerns with using conditioner first is that there will be tangles after rinsing out the products but I didn't have any.

Before I blow dried my hair, I used the Tresemmé Keratin Flat Iron Smoothing Spray and the Beauty-full Volume Hair Maximimser. I only needed a small amount of the maximiser to rub through my hair. I then dried my hair and was delighted to see how much more volume I had than if I were to use my normal hair products. Although my hair was volumised, it was still really soft and didn't feel weighed down at all.

The first few weeks using this product my hair felt great but soon after my hair was really dry and broke off. I spoke to my hairdresser who said perhaps the product coated my hair in something which made my hair feel good at first but then it started to break away.

I wouldn't purchase this product again because of how damaged my hair ended up looking.
